Little Moon Montessori began with a vision

to create a Montessori Forest School

for children ages 3 to 6 in the

beautiful Berkshire Hills of Massachusetts.

While most Montessori schools offer outdoor play

and exploration, Little Moon envisioned nature

as an integral part of everyday experience complementing and extending

the purposeful learning children do

inside the classroom.

​

Spending more time outdoors gives children the freedom to move, explore, and discover at their own pace. It strengthens their bodies, supports their emotional well-being, and brings joy and

wonder into their daily lives.

​

Although the vision for Little Moon remains as important as ever, plans to establish the school

will not be moving forward at this time.​

​
