What is Little Moon Montessori ?
Little Moon is a proposed Nature-Inspired school for children 3 to 6 which will emphasize the importance of each child's social and emotional development, encouraged independence, stimulates creativity, and allows them the freedom within their educational environment to develop
Little Moon will be an authentic Montessori program that will provide an inclusive atmosphere and actively nurture the social-emotional development of every child.
Our Mission
Guided by the principles and practices of Dr. Maria Montessori, our mission is to create a safe, warm and welcoming community where parents and teachers work together in supporting the educational and developmental needs of children 3 - 6 years old.
By respecting each child's innate intelligence and creativity, following their individual interests, and supporting their capacity to learn by doing, we will empower children to become independent, joyful learners, who are self-confident and capable of greater self-care.
At Little Moon Montessori, children will experience opportunities for both independent and collaborative learning. In becoming thoughtful members of their community they will learn personal responsibility and develop important social-emotional skills.
Regular experiences in nature inspire learning. As each child actively explores both indoor and outdoor environments, they will develop a healthy, grounded love of learning, strengthen their connection with the natural world, and come to know the interdependence of all living things.

Finding a home for our school is first on the agenda!
Our ideal location is...
* Located in Southern Berkshire County, MA.
* Has walk-out, easy access to fields, forest and wetlands.
* Comprised of a central space for a classroom
(approx.1,000 sq ft), 2 bathrooms, a kitchen, and additional rooms for meeting spaces.
